Meet The Team operates as a performance of ‘business as usual’ for an artistic team.
Contained within an office footprint of approximately 5 × 5 metres, a network of collaborators work across roles and disciplines. Together, they assemble into a single working entity known as Alice (or two, if Nez the dog is included).
Each member retains distinct preferences, skills, and modes of operation. Each with a recognisable character and suit.
The project emerged as a response to the fragmented conditions of interdisciplinary practice — the continual shifting of roles, scripts, and professional personas required of contemporary artists.
The project also functions as a critique of the corporate “Meet the Team” pages and their flattening of complex individuals into marketable profiles.
